i know this isnt a great photo but i was just wondering if someone would be able to tell me what type of spider this is. when i was away at lake eildon for a week, this seemed to be the only spider around, and they were EVERYWHERE!

Dont know the proper name - but we call them Christmas Spiders over here.

I think it's a Jewel Spider - Austracantha minax.

Rel and Damian will probably be able to confirm this for you.

I hate spiders big time, but must admit it's a cool looking critter.
