The USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) arrived in Brisbane for a scheduled port visit. While in port, the Carrier Strike Group's approximately 6000 crewmembers will have a chance to participate in friendship-building and goodwill-generating activities.

The Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group, commanded by Rear Adm. Michael H. Miller, is on a routine deployment and homeported in San Diego, California.

Operating in the Western Pacific and Indian Ocean, the U.S. Seventh Fleet is the largest of the forward-deployed U.S. fleets, with approximately 50 ships, 120 aircraft, and 20000 Sailors and Marines assigned at any given time.

for the first couple of shots while it was far away it was the 70-200 2.8 with a 2x tc. the rest of the shots were taken with a 24-70 2.8.

yeh.. she's a big one. could have done it in 5 shots.. however i shot her portrait to try and quite tight to get as much detail as possible. real pity about the barge in the front spoiling the shot.. but you can't win them all.

cheers
