Certainly different from your usual style

although another amazing image. Perhaps a tad too much saturation, it almost leaps off the screen too much (if that makes any sense).
PS: Given the title I was expecting a pic of John Cleese with a dead cod...

I like the image Sheila - it certainly is different. How long ago did you take this image?
If it were me i would clean it up using the clone stamp.

I took it yesterday on my way home from work. Its a tad experimental and done really quickly. Lots of curves, high contrast and saturated a little OTT! I walk by these kayaks every day as I make my way to my car but yesterday there were a great deal of them and they were more or less stationary in the water. I had to be quick as a group of tourists arrived and the owners started to move the boats.

Another example of your excellent eye for a shot. I do think the sat is a little too OTT, but conceptually this is heading in the right direction.

I agree whole-heartedly with other posts so far. Great composition and symmetry but WAY too much saturation. Would love to see you post another version, this time de-saturating in Photoshop.
ps - had a look at your gallery last night and there are some amazing shots amongst them. My compliments to you.
Cheers
