Crash on the footpath!

The kids were playing outside yesterday, and my son like any normal 3 year old went snail hunting. He found eight! He had great fun piling them on top of each other, and generally doing boy things to them.
I must confess that during the making of this photograph eight snails were harmed. BUT on the good side a Kookaburra family is well feed! :)

On a more serious note this was my first attempt at a macro shot, so I would love some C&C
(My success rate was 2 OK shots out of 18 )

I'd be fairly happy with that.

Sometimes I find myself only getting maybe 5 or 10 keepers out of a few hundred. Especially when shooting flying insects.

I think a faster shhutter speed to slow down the action would have improved things :D

Only high-speed video will capture these suckers and provide sharp imagery. :D :D :D

I was thinking about asking Channel 9 if I could have a loan of the cameras that they are using for the high speed shots at the cricket!
