Cattle Egret

Taken at the limit of the 70-200VR and cropped. The egrets were nesting in droves (as can be seen from the breeding colours) but were very wary and took off quickly when approached. I like the lighting on this one.

That bird looks familiar. Wouldn't be that nest towards the back of the 3rd tree on the left about 15k north of Gympie by any chance :?:

John - I much prefer the 2nd one with the 80-400, the first one in my opinion lacks a little punch and could do with some curve enhancement perhaps? On my LCD it appears a little too dark. The 2nd one though - right on the money! Well done :)
