Fascinating stuff, great color... The angle of the rear shadow in the first though has really got me in... Was it the built-in flash? If external wondering whether boucing it off the ceiling may have reduced the strong back shadow by placing the shadow lower behind the subject etc... If it was built-in then ahhh...
