OK - I wouldn't normally *bump* a thread of mine like this, but thanks to smugmug's first downtime in almost a year, it looks like these got a bit of a cold shoulder last night

All I can say is WOW, these are exceptionally great shots. Keep up the good work

It would depend on what language you speak/read I would think. If you're used to reading a language (such as english) that reads left to right, then that is the way you'd prefer to see something move. Am I right? Do I get the prize?

Varying - mostly 400, although some were at 200 and some higher. It was a VERY bright day

Leon. These are good especially given the challenges of (a) THAT lens and (b) the speed these things would have been moving. I prefer them going right to left (there goes that theory) and (since it's a rule isn't it) coming into frame rather than going out.

Excellent Stuff Leon, I did view this earlier but when SmugSmug was down. Were this taken this past weekend ? I was up in Halidays Point (between Forster/Tuncurry and Taree) and even when crusing around Taree Friday or Saturday, and didn't know theses were out and about (if I've got the right weekend).

You've done an excellent job, and I think this shots prove your point about the 70-300G offering good results even better then your 'Noisy Seagull'

At a guess I think I'd prefer left to right, and for the same reasons Leon suggested, english text and numbers most commonly go from left to right, therefore Start ---------- Finish
Start is usually to the left of Finish.

Fish would be in trouble if i had transport like that

leon, mate love them as power boating was a passion of mine when i was younger and raced power boats for some years as i started racing when i was 15 years old, i really wanted to race speedway buy my mother said it was too dangerous to i brought my first boat at 15. Don't know how her mind worked back then as we know what is safer. Anyhow i like racing tunnel hulls, bit of air underneath and that feeling of riding on air was great fun, anyhow mate good work.

Just need to mount some outriggers and you could troll up all sorts of fish I'd say your fuel consumption could be a little higher then usual
