Wendell,
You missed something important and real:

Paris wouldn't be Paris without "Dog's poo"

Wendell,

How much shadow detail do you have in the first of these images?

It loks great as it is - I think it's far and away the best of these - and works very well as a silhouette, but I'm wondering if there isn't some more subtle detail that you can coax out if it.

this is all the shadow detail i could extract without loosing the mood

there is imporovement in the subtle interest in the shadow details, thankyou for allowing me to revisit this lovely picture.

Birdy, Oh do i miss that delightful cynicism, i wouldn't mind if it rained dog excrament, it's still Paris the city of romance and such a beautiful place who cares about dog crap. Thanks again for your support without it i wouldn't be able to take anything back from Paris, re D2X and all my gear.

Merci Beaucoup monsieurr greb b

Wendell,

That is exactly what I thought I could see, trying to peek through from the deep shadows in your initial posting of this image. I think this isn't simply much better, but it now expresses a cool Paris morning in a manner that no words can possibly come close to.

Well done, and I'm glad you took a few moments to revisit this.

God dam it Wendell, I'm at a stage in life where travel is an impossibility, and you post these!!!! These are great mate, utterly great. Really like the 'Staircase at Petit Palais', the lines and detail are fantastic, having other people in the shot also works well.

Impressed with your fashion shots to, not usually a field I would take an interest in, but you've completed a dream, shot fashion in Paris and shot it well! The models are looking right at you man!! :!:

Last but definetly not least 'love in petit palais' is also great, the warm colours of the ceiling offset with the cool greys. Do you know the couple who are kissing??

Nice mate, real nice!!! I best not show the wife, or she'll want to go!

Hi man

thanks alot, all i ever wanted to do is shoot paris my way, it's my ongoing project plan to visit many times to complete the personal project, everyone needs a personal project and mine is paris the city & life.
regarding the couple at Petit Palais they were russian(i recognized some russian sweet-talk between them) and i did not know them, just lucky they decided to live the romantic dream right in front of me while i was appreciating the architecture.

I would show the wife, any excuss to jetset off to Paris, even for 1 night - it's worth it!

Wendell - you have certainly progressed tremendously in your photographic techniques and the last pic of the couple kissing is very Sheila Rock - a great collection of pics and a great memory :)

I have only been to Paris in the warmer months, so this time of year is something that is unknown to me. However, your pics give me a close - almost intimate look at what it is like. These pics are fantastic.

Some crackers in this collection Wendell. Lovely intimate feeling. The stair well shot is also quite striking.

Strewth...

"Near Place de Parvis" is a lovely image, seems so full of mystique and romance... Also really liked "Staircase at Petit Palais", the lines and soft detail with an everyday human element, nicely done...

The show images look excellent and the last image is nicely portrayed...

Shows what you can do when you know what you're doin'

Really enjoyed these, thanks for posting, look forward to more of these...

Gorgeous shots Wendell. I'm not sure I could do your shots justice with a more indepth critique. They are excellent, and make me more interested in travelling there.

Craig

All the photo's a very nice Wendell.

I actually prefer your first version of the Place de Parvis Picture more so than the second one with more detail extracted.

The second shot is fantastic!

Nice shots, I especially like the first and last two ones. The picture of the lady reading is a good idea, but it'd have been better to get a clear view... I have the feeling you didn't want to get too close of the people you were photographying, but it'd be worth to give it a try next time you're in Paris :)
