Many thanks to Alpha for the advice on image insertion















I've not had chance to work through the 1000's of shots taken at Chrismas and over the New Year, here are a few to look at. All comments appreciated.

Nice shots so far Tony... Stick an [img] tag to the left of each and everyone else will be able to see them with greater ease...

It looks like you had a little more time in London than I did...

Tony try removing the "?v=0" part at the end
so it is just

[.img]http:\\domainname.com\filename.jpg[./img]

just remove the '.' in the img tags

Now to critique...there's a dust bunny on the left in the 3rd pic that you should clone out. I've had some practise at that aspect of PP

Glad to see you got the links working, it was worth the wait.

#1 While some might think this is too postcardie, I'm actually a fan of postcard shots, your on holidays, why not make your own postcards
Lovely lighting and reflections, well done.

#2 Interesting whot, what is that building ? Almost looks like a big Imax cinema

#3 I like this shot too, and partially because of the little hints of other structures at the bottom of the shot. I take it that its the corner of the london eye (not that circles have corners..but whatever) and also the baby spires on the right. It as the affect of making Big Ben look even bigger (anyone know of the top of their heads why it's called Big Ben ?

#4 I like the shot but might of prefered a loose crop

#5 Well apart from the horizon seeming to slope a little, I'd have either included the entire fountain's edge or cropped out the bit you did include

#6 It's amazing what night time can do, this shot is miles better at night then the day time shot of the same cityscape earlier. Lovely stuff

#7 This shot doesn't really do much for me, apart from tell me your heading home ? which I guess it a clever way to end a series or album

For those interested, I found this site about Big Ben. Sadly it doesn't conclusively answer all my questions, but I've learnt a thing or two.

Tony, some nice shots there mate i think they are all good and i love the nite shots you posted before all from your the veiw from the hotel room.

Hi Willigan,

The round building is the Space Centre and the Square Building is the Arts Centre. Unfortunately didn't have the time to go into either

Thanks for the tip regards to the dust bunny, however I can't see where you are talking about. Can anyone else see it on their monitor?
