This is where the glacier has made landfall and made a natural ice dam. The water on this side of the glacier is about 4 meters higher than on the other side.

WW - If possible these are even better then your last one! This are incredible, and worth of a National Geographic article IMO. Gorgeous stuff!

Wait for the 5 shot pano im working on right now. I have never used Autostitch before so it may take a few more days....

Willy if you haven't tried, I'd suggest Pano Factory (worth a go) it does the trick for me.

Thanks Wendel - im very happy to hear you enjoyed them. I know i certainly did my head in when i was taking them. It will be a hard day to dislodge from the memory banks.

Im crying poor and wanted to avoid the watermark... I guess i should download it for comparrison though.

There's something about a glacier that screams prehistory - and this one's no different. It's extra special when the glacier meets the sea.

You must be pleased with your photographic endeavours on this trip, there's been some excellent results

Strewth, some of these are stunning, there seems to be a real connection or appreciation of the environment in these, can almost feel being there...

The colors and abstract shapes and textures are well composed, the sort of stuff you see in travel mags, I can't wait to see the pano...

The lighting in the first and last shot is heaven...

Hi Jamie - I did a bit of research on the region, but I was limited by time. So many things to see down there but the glacier was very high on mylist. Believe it or not this is the only one i have ever seen.

I first got interested in Patagonia after reading about Charles Darwin and his voyage there in the Beagle. I still have things left to acomplish down there. I will return (one day). Highly recommend it to anyone interested in geology, mountaineering or natural history, etc.

We are hoping to be able to afford an Alaskan cruise for our honeymoon next year, and hopefully I can find some nice ice to take photos of
