nesting

found this one in the banksia out front,i think this is their second lot of eggs for the year.

I like the colour in the shot, but cant help think that a little step to the left would be better.

It's a lovely subject and I imagine would have been quite difficult to capture, due to the difficulty of getting the lens to see through all those branches! Well done.

Although the far foreground is blurred nicely, it looks to me as if the focus is still just slightly forward of the bird. Perhaps a more knowledgable member will chime in with a hint about how to ensure the camera focuses in exactly the right place in this difficult type of situation.

I'd love to hear such a hint as I had a similar issue with a mostly-obscured koala a couple of months ago.

I find the colour cast a little bit much. Like he's being lit with strange neon lights or something.
