Tokina 12-24 + CPL = Blue Sky Mining !!Taken yesterday when I wanted to be at Cataract Dam but had to be somewhere else
![]() ![]() If I'm alone in a forest and my wife is not around to hear what I say, am I still wrong ??
Lovely sky, the wispy clouds and deep blue really appeal. The dead tree and little tree next to it provide a level or interest on the 'ground floor'.
whoa, thats one blue sky.
sure is saturated. I know it is a CPL but just curious as to how much saturation you use in camera?? Steve check out my image gallery @

Steve, the in camera setting was "Enhanced" but it was shot as a NEF so I could have adjusted it in Nikon Capture. I left it as shot but there wasn't much difference between normal and enhanced.

thanks for that. I leave mine on normal and shoot raw also so I can tinker later if required

Doesn't work for me I'm afraid. There's nothing really imposing in the foreground. If the dead tree is the subject of interest its way too small.
Although skies/clouds can be interesting I like a strong foreground subject to create some drama. I'd love to have that lens though.... ![]()
No it's not. I might even clone it out if I want to print it as it does tend to draw the eye from the subject (clouds). If I'm alone in a forest and my wife is not around to hear what I say, am I still wrong ??
