Fantastic Paul, I love number 1 in particular. Exceptional.
I wonder when an audit of these piles of sandstone will be conducted and the whole
thing renamed to reflect the true position - i.e. they are not apostles and there aren't twelve.

Thank you for the comments...
On a side note... does anyone know when all twelve were standing? If there were ever 12 that is.

I don't believe there was 12 to begin with, unsure if there was less or more originally but pretty sure it was not a 'literal naming'.
I like both shots, the first is great, lovely mood to it, the sky tones are great.
With the second, I love the light on the rocks but its a shame about the shadow of the cliff on the outcrop.. had it been taken earlier the shadow might not have been so distracting but the light would of been different as well.

Hmm... interesting. Will have to look up more on the history of these rocks.
To get rid of the shadow I would have had to taken the shot later (this is a morning shot).

Arh my Sony, never been interstate, so I'm completely disorientated when looking at the shot.

Hi Paul,
I've been really enjoying your GOR series, wonderful images, beautiful light, looks like you had a great trip.

They were renamed in the 50's, they used to be named Sow and Piglet, not to enticing for visitors it seems
It bit of history:

Two fanatastic images Paul and fine examples of the different moods possible at the 12 apostles. Beautiful captures of very contrasting images that sit well together.
cheers

Those two pics were only taken just over an hour apart.
Shows how quickly light can change.
