More ground work

More ground work from pounding the pavement at night. I got tired of urban shots and tried to observe what else was around me. Spotted something we use a lot of but never paid much attention to, the ground :)

Understandably some shots due to lighting are a lot stronger than others, but any and all C&C would be greatly appreciated. Trying to get more under my belt besides bikes and people :)

The first of these is by far the strongest. Of the rest #3 doesn't work for me because it lacks a point of interest.

Dark, dirty and moody. There is a theme here, (you have already spotted it), and the theme is worth pushing. The challange is to push it to the max. Thanks for posting something quite different.

i liek the fact your getting close to the ground to get that ant view perspective that always makes things dramatic especially if you use a 12mm wait for that day you will have phun!

composition is fine but maybe the images lack punch becuase 1. they are of a mundane nature, 2. the tone is gritty which can be tolerated if it serves the stylistic intention of the image 3. lack of colour and or contrast
this sort of work would look great if tyou did it after it rains, way back i used to love urban marauding around the city after it had just rained at night, the street sparkles with an array of colours and the contrast highlights and shadows you get are gorgeous and abstract.
Seek that added dimension because you have a style you just need to push it further and make it more appealing.
