Hi Greencardigan,
I really like the first one: looks like a beautiful metallic sheen on the lizard. Very sharp, very pretty. I probably wouldn't have entirely desaturated everything in the rest of the photo - maybe just keep the background with a dull colourisation rather than grey? I think the log is fine to be entirely grey, it's plausible from a colour perspective. But I reckon a little colour in the leaves in the background might be good.
I like the rose a lot, but I got distracted a bit by the purple background on the right side. Nice bit of blue sky and second rose in the background though.
