I think this one is abit under exposed?

We are taking off from Ballina (near Byron Bay NSW) heading back home (Syd), time is about 0530hrs.

Comments on improvements always welcome  :D

A nice shot of the sunrise Ree.
Somewhat difficult to avoid I know, but I find the wing quite distracting. Especially since it's quite OOF. I would increase the exposure on this (providing you shot in raw) and see how you go. Nothing you can do about the OOF wing. A nice shot all the same though.

Big dynamic range to handle with those highlights, but more importantly was the ride fun?

What sort of aeroplane was it???
Tough stuff to get a decent shot through a crazed windscreen in low light with a propellor whizzing around.

It might come up a bit better with a levels play

We had a fantastic sunrise in Brissie this morning. I was stuck on the ground due weather unfortunately otherwise there could have been some really nice shots.

I was so busy reading all the other posts that I din't notice replies to mine!
Was reading some of my past posts looking for some imformation given to me and found that I hadn't responded to my own post!

Soooo....

Steve .... The plane was a twin duchess (aka the duck), it is hard to take photos from any small plane. The duck is one of the hardest due to the fact that the prop is RIGHT in the way  and there is always bumps to deal with to boot!
I will have a go at the levels thanks for that :D

Mudder .... The ride was ho hum...was just glad to be getting back home, we were delayed by weather for 2 extra days!

Geoff ... Thanks for the C/C sadly I didn't take is one in raw... I agree it is under expo'ed
