Movieworld birds

Hi all - couple of shots from the dam outside movieworld on dusk yesterday :) Was very very low light, so wasn't too disappointed with how they turned out... both were backlit by the setting sun.
Hope you like, but feel free to tell me they look like crap ;)

They look a hell of a lot clearer in their original 'big' state, but not too bad when reduced ....

Thanks Wendell & Pa :)

The female fairy wren is a little less colourfull, but she's still a cutie :) They would have to be one of the most 'brave' little birds I know, bar the willy wagtail ... the things they do to my cat and my car are amazing !!!! The car side mirror gets fed, attacked, talked to and shat on :)
The cat gets bombed, chased around the backyard (ridiculous to see a cat being chased by a fairy wren) and hasseled sooo much she comes and hides inside !!! (Ok, my cat is a 'pussy' in the true sense of the word)

As for the darter - he almost looked regal. I'm almost sure that he was actually posing for me yesterday, everytime I went to move away, he'd clack his beak together to get my attention, and then stand still and wait.

Got to love birds :)

Thanks guys
Rel

the female fairy wren doesnt do anything for me
But
The darter on the otherhand appeals to me.
I like the flowing lines of the bird which appear to follow the perch. The light looks quite harsh but it is still nice.

could be portrait cropped to show more bird.
