I agree, the pelican in flight photo is well composed and nice and sharp. Brilliant!!!
The Blue Lake is looking very blue these days

The kid diving into the water next to the landing, looks like he is actually diving onto the landing. Interesting perspective.

				John
A good set of photos there!
That kid diving into the lake is a good example of how telephoto squashes the distance between subjects (in this case, the jetty and the diver).
or
Maybe the diver did dive onto the jetty

 *ouch*
The sky above Centenerary Tower is interesting also.
Thanks for sharing
Graham

				G'day,
That shot of the single Pelican in flight is awesome, but the one that catches my eye is the Centenary Tower...
Cheers,

Yes i will slowly add to these nothing spectacular but just some from around the place. You will find the sky in the pelican shot was a dull plain blue sky no clouds same as with the tower as i dont have the step up ring to use my polariser on the 70-300, so i made the sky using perfect skies in
PS7, i think it set the pelican shot of nicely.
But I will add to this pages as i take more around the place.
Thanks for coments i am learning to handle this camera slowley.
Cheers

Perfect Skies worked very well BBj!
I just got a stepping ring ($15) so I can use my new 67mm CPL on the 70-300, now all I need is a goddam opportunity. Should be very soon, most of the xmas stuff is behind me now, just a couple more to go and then sanity returns.
Anyhoo, I didn't pick the perfect skies work, just thought they looked good!
cheers

Hi Greg, yeh thats good i am yet to get a step up ring, i know birdy said he would get me one next time in vanbar, but havent said anymore about it yet, will see how it goes and maybe if birdy to busy might get someone to grab me one and post to me. I oreded a shutter release cable early october from a camera shop here, wanted it for out show so i could use to do fireworks, rang the other day to say they got.
LOL yeh nearly 2 months later.
Took the pelican shot down the street here was going to get it printed out properly at A2 charging me $60. Not sure it's worth. Oh well not too worry just uploading some more pics to site.

				Yes Matt i am
PS7 i use, used to use paintshop pro but been trying to learn new things with
PS. Yes i like the polariser on the sky's and with some clouds make it look a bit more dramatic, spose it can be over done but, i just hate that real light blue sky sometimes.

There has been a strong rumour to that effect. Will report further after testing the cpl, see whether it makes any difference

HI Rob, Yes it is very blue at the moment as you can see and withe the days we have had it's been like a glass table. Very nice to look at.
Yes that is an action i am using on the frames, i like it so i use on most of my pics, some people dont like borders, but i think some can really set the picture off.
Cheers

Arvo All, Well i went and took just a few at the Lady Nelson Park here in Mt Gambier, so i have added them to the sites of the south east gallery.
Look for the replica H.M.S Lady Nelson boat.
