Various travel pics from around Australia

All shot on Film, yes film. The old fashioned way. Then scanned to digital on my new Konica Minolta film scanner. PP'd in Photoshop.

Posting these pics made me realise i have travelled a lot :) There's still many more other paces to come. Interestingly, each of these images was taken on a different trip.

I've had mixed success with my negatives as some were in bad shape. Living in the tropics for ten years didn't help their cause.

You hav been around, must of been a wonderful experience I have yet to make it out there in the outback, your pics make me want to get out there now with a minolta film cam

the Kakadu Lily at Knuckey's has a wonderful stillness and isolation to it
your top shot

I also like you spanning landscape shots and your ultra blue polarized sky one with the green tree juxtaposing

A bloody great series of images,

The sensuous light in "Ayer's Rock" is wonderful, and "The Devil's Marbles" immediately grabbed my attention, noting how the tree's nice and in the middle

The Lily is a striking image too...

Nice series mate...

Great set of images - I especially like the Uluru and Kakadu Lily shots. And the Sydney one says, um, nothing at all really!

Hi Steve,

Great photos!!!

Looks like Ayer's Rock and Devil's marbles were captured on slide. Something like Velvia? Or is it result of post-processing?

All 35mm Mikhail. Various brands, Kodak, Agfa, Konica and Fuji. Depends where i had to buy new rolls and what they had in stock.

I've never shot slide film, not ever. I always thought it was what old annoying uncles use to bore young people with when they visit. :) :) :) I might try it one day, before it disappears as my scanner has a slide holder.

Oh and true, Indonesia is not a part of Australia, but it is 'around' Australia. Besides, There was a time when Bali had more Aussies in it that locals. (Now that's just their jails) :)
