Owen

This is a superb image (and you've had a busy posting day too!). It has a wonderful simplicity to it that makes for a very powerful image.

Thankyou stubbsy. This is why the shot appeals to me as well. Not my usual thing, but I'm starting to like these sort of photos.

Thanks for checking it out.

Kind regards,
Owen.

I like this shot because you do not have a true sense of scale, so it makes you look at the shot longer and think about it...

I agree. I've been looking at it for a while and I'm still not sure whether it is a wide ange shot or a close up!

I like this shot too Owen the simplicity and your attention to detail the placement of the sand dune crest the time of day with that sidelighting and sharpness accentuating the sand texture and the long shadows adding the neccessary contrast depth to the image.
cheers
marco

Thanks for checking it out guys. For info the focal length was 34mm so I guess that equates to about a standard lens in 35mm language, so neither wide angle or close up. :)

Kind regards,
Owen.

Lovely stuff Owen, this is a top quality dune shot. Love the different 'textures' on either side.

Thanks Craig. Actually took it walking back to the car, I'm glad I didn't walk over it and then decide it would have been worth taking a photo of! :)
