Opposite Rejects
Posted: Wed Mar 01, 2006 12:36 pmHere are some of my ideas and test shots for the recent Opposites challenge. I had a idea that matches would make a simple yet affective tool. The downfall was my lighting and setup couldn't seem to get a sharp image which left my fairly frustrated.
I had the idea with matches you could have
Long - Short
Straight - Bent
Whole - Broken
Lit - Unlit
It didn't convey as I though it would so I just tried 2 matches... then I got the idea of a burning one, but for some reason always shot 3 matches (by now it was 1am 11 hours before it was due in..
Anyways I'm wasn't happy with the results, but I did try to follow a process to improve and invent the kind of shot and looks I was after, so I think it benefited me in the long run.
