RAAF Roulettes

I took these at the Royal Hobart Regatta recently. They were flying pretty low and fast. I made a bit of a mistake here only using ISO200 and shutter speed of 1/500. I was getting these at f13. I should have been up around ISO400, 1/2000 sec and I reckon that would have given me about f5.6 - f8. I'm sure 1/2000 would have stopped the action better and given me less blur. Maybe higher ISO than that even.

The first one, which I wsa quite pleased with, was my Opposites comp 8 entry.
The second with the compass is my favourite.

The third one is the one I have a question about.
These guys were travelling at about 400KpH I think from memory, so I was a little suprised when I checked the shots and found this. I reckon it'd be close on impossible to repeat this timing. My question is can this be image be saved in photoshop. I was panning on the upper aircraft, so most of the blur is on the lower one. Is it worth a few hours inside photoshop to try to get rid of the blurring, or is it a lost cause :?:

Or does the blurring add to the image :?:

C&C most appreciated.

I'm not sure how you'd clean up number 3 in photoshop?

I love the second one, though I think the crop could be different. It might be good if there was more detail above or below, but I'm guessing the crop was of the side? Otherwise, I might consider removing the compass to highlight the planes and sky more. I think it's a great shot nonetheless. First one is also good.

Thanks for the comments BT*ist.
Anyone else? Is #3 recoverable?

Hi John,

two things if I may:

don't go faster that 1/500 sec; you will "freeze" the propellers.
That will result in a "frozen" image of an aircraft.

3rd image: can't do a thing with PS about the blurriness.
