Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

I'm a little un inspired photographically wise at the moment, but have been playing around with some older images in Photoshop, and here is what I came up with, the last being my fav.

I like the second one, the first one doesnt' do much for me. Mic might like it, but it's not my cup of tea. I'd be keen to see the original too :)

Here is the original!

Image

I used the water colour filter. For the first it was Plastic Wrap and then solarized, and for the third (which still won't embed for some strange reason), I converted to b&w using channel mixer and levels, and used the rough pastels filter with a sandstone texture.

Just experimenting to pass the time while I really should be doing other things.

I'd try burning/dodging different parts of the image and using layermasks with curves to adjust different areas of the image

Much more satisfying than running the bog standard PS filters on them

Give it a whirl

Yep #1 isn't my cuppa tea either....

#2 has a Monet feel to it.... that would look great as a large print on a wall. Out of the three this is my favorite.

Number #3 is also an interesting image, the white streaking has a unique effect when combined with the B/W converstion

Well done with your filtering... its certainly something a bit different :)
