Fantastic shots, WW. One of the best of fireworks I've ever seen. Did you do much pp?

Great shots Willy. I've been trying to do some fireworks shots but they just keep coming out crap. Yours are really good. What lens and settings did you use and how close to the fireworks were you? Also, was there much wind blowing at the time?

Very impressive work, lovely reflections in the water as well as interesting sky. You have stopped down the lens well to get the nice sharp lines and not over expose..well done

PP for all of them was to increase RGB saturation by 10, decrease brightness by about 6, increase contrast by 6, cloned out a couple of stray lights on the shore line in the black areas on the sides and then apply a 60% USM at 1.0 and 4pt threshold. (So not very much PP - fairly standard).

Set up for these shots was F22, shooting in bulb mode on tripod firing with a remote. I used the kit lens at about 20-25mm. I found that the best shots came when i could get the start of one series of salvos and the end (as they came mostly in waves). Mostly between 2 and 10 second expsosures.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys. I had a good position (right near the water on the Southern side of the lake) and the weather conditions were also very good (light breeze to cary away the smoke).
