a few from around Melbourne, love the city and the people
it is calm and slower than sydney which is good a weekend actually feels like a weekend
I had just acquired a 28-70 f2.8 finding it to be a great walkaround lens, previously i was using a 12-24DX, i think 28mm is wide enough even with the 1.5x crop factor

along swanston street

cant remember my exact settings but i shot this with a higher shutterspeed underexposing it to make it darker, it was shot in bright afternoon sun

Some nice pics Wendell :) Sure gives Melb a bit of a diff perspective - I'm too used to it so I don't see it the way your northerners do :P Love the grass pic with the sun rays shining down. Very peaceful indeed :D

Where'd you end up for the last pic?

Yes, the 28-70 is great as I told you long time ago, since the first day you stepped into the DSLR world.

That makes me keep the whole range from 17-35/ 28-70/ 70-200VR, instead of the 17-55 and missing gap then 70-200VR, + NO DX (definitely) for me in this middle zoom range. The only DX is 12-24, which Nikon doesn't produce any glass.

12-24DX ( )/ 17-35/ 28-70/ 70-200 is a completed range isn't it?

Pls. love the baby (28-70), forget about the chics who're surrounding you and don't abuse or stress-test it!

hi wayne thanks alot, last pic is the levis afterparty at the old chinese theatre behind the forum

Pharmer thanks you have a keen photographic eye not surprised you have similar shots

Birdy, yup 28-70 is a gem, only like the 12-24 because it has a dramatic perspective at 12mm, now all i need is a 17-35.

Some very nice shots there. I like the way the leaves cover the eye in the poster and also love the photo of the bridge at sunset. That lens sure is nice, and the photographer, of course
