This is part 4 from Loreal Fashion Week

Melbourne Designer Gwendolyne makes lovely elegant pieces her show at Loreal fashion week was one of the most anticipated. The production was sharp and the was lighting great all the right ingredients for some snazzy image making.

All shot with the 85mm f1.4 at 2.8 constant, 1/250 - 320 ISO800 white balance 4200kelvin(unless otherwise stated) single servo mode single area focus tracking off

I shot the first garment with flash(a borowed sb600)
It's always nice to get background elements like a model to give the image more sense of depth and dimension also alows for asymetrical composition which is a nice breakup to the run of mill composed runway shot.

image on the right i changed white balance to 2800Kelvin i knew i wanted this pic cooler

too bad her eyes aren't open, she closed her eyes throughout that portion of the pose, took the shot because the beautiful headpiece was in full view

Attitude is always welcome on a runway

Very good indeed. I am anticpating your next images using the 28-70. I'm surprised it took you so long to get one.

Very nicely done, Wendell. I used the flash in first one, but the skin tones still are so naturally looking. One model has her eyes shut, but it only gives the image a more sensual atmosphere. Thanks for posting the technical aspects also.

Great work Wendell!

I love #3 - if it wasn't for the highlights, I could have mistaken it for a studio product etc shoot :)

Did the owner of the SB600 get their flash back safely? ;)

Nice work Wendellt,

I especially like the ghostly OOF girls in the back ground of some of the shots.

Beautifully lit wendell. They are all great but #1and 3 are terrific. #1 for its compositional flare and #2 for the pose and facial expression you have captured.
cheers

thanks marco you have always been an avid supporter of my work, i appreciate it

and thankyou everyone else
for Loreal fashion week i was under a brief from Cream to capture the standard runway shot, model dead centre full body is possible no fancy stuff, but i couldn't help myself 2 elements in a shot alwsys make the shot compsoitionally more interesting, hope they don't mind.

Wendel, great work as usual capturing these beauties and knowing how hard this would be with everything else going on around you with other photogs and so on so yeh well done again.
