Kite surfers

These guys fascinate me but not in the usual sense. I love their kites which are nearly always colourful, and I am fascinated by their shapes and the spaces they create between kites.

I really love these John. A slightly different approach, focussing on the artistic nature of the kites themselves rather than the action below them. Beautifully exposed and the sharpness and colour are spot on. I expect to see copies of these adorning the walls of one of your local surf shops.

Brilliant.

John i agree with you and always hard to shoot in that wide lens is needed to get surfer in as well and these are great to watch and wlel pics are very nice.

Nice kites - i like the way they line up together in both the shots - as if they are involved in some kind of dance.

Thank you for the nice comments. Any windy day sees them out in force and it is just a matter of waiting for the kites to cross your lens. Keepers would be about 5% I think.

John, nice effect with the colour and composition of these two shots..
