i think it's a wonderful shot... a great memory...
as far as composition... i'd probably crop a little to get rid of some dead space. the angle makes me a little dizzy too ![]() nicely done. cheers http://www.markcrossphotography.com - A camera, glass, and some light.

did you darken the out of focus areas the lighting seems to only affect the face - nice effect

I need to have one of these children thingys in the next 20 years! I think it helps people not become too self absorbed. HB
The out of focus areas were dark to begin with, the flash (SB-800) on TTL-BL threw the light onto him. I didnt do any PP cept for USM - scanning from slide film it needed it ![]()

Im only guessing as I shot it some while ago on my F100, it would most liekly have been f5.6 on the 50:1.8. I was close, therefore the DOF even at this aperture. thanks for your feedback guys! Jonathan
