Just after having a his first go at 'painting'.
Not sure any paint actually made it onto the canvas :P

Love to hear your CnC.

i think it's a wonderful shot... a great memory...

as far as composition... i'd probably crop a little to get rid of some dead space. the angle makes me a little dizzy too :)

nicely done.

cheers

creative shot love the DOF and the angle it was shot at
did you darken the out of focus areas the lighting seems to only affect the face - nice effect

Nice shot Jonathan.

I need to have one of these children thingys in the next 20 years! I think it helps people not become too self absorbed.

Very nice photo and great kid. I feel there is a bit too much flash on his face and I'd like to see more DOF on his shoulders. What aperture did you use?

The out of focus areas were dark to begin with, the flash (SB-800) on TTL-BL threw the light onto him. I didnt do any PP cept for USM - scanning from slide film it needed it :)

 I thought great discipleship came from being married... but throw a child + 1 due later into the equation and well... you have not much room for self-absorbtion! (or photogear for that matter :D - but I wouldnt trade my family for the world!)

Im only guessing as I shot it some while ago on my F100, it would most liekly have been f5.6 on the 50:1.8. I was close, therefore the DOF even at this aperture.

thanks for your feedback guys!
