Hmm, not such a fan of these Matt. In the first one, there seems to be too much contrast on the boat, and too little on the background. The water is good, but I suspect other PP treatments might bring out better in it.

Ditto on the contrast for the second one. The stern of the ship seems too dark, especially compared to the white highlights of the bridge. Composition doesn't give me much to go on either. Sorry. :(

Thanks Trent
I guess I am trying to give them a very old fashioned look. Maybe they will print better than they look on the screen.

Matt

I agree with Trent. There is something about the treatment that detracts from these images for me. The second one in particular.

Hi Matt,

In the first one, for me the yatch in the back detracts from what you are trying to achieve with making the photo look "old". The horizon thing as well, but that's just me being picky

The second one doesn't do much for me, not sure what it is.

cheers,

André

Hi Matt, I was actually on that ferry when you took the photo. It's the Proclaim and it was on an outing for the Maritime Museum.

The second photo is the North Korean ship that was dumping drugs off the coast a few years back and was arrested. Can't remember the name but it's at Garden Island.

Not sure about the first one Matt. Horizon seems a bit off.

The 2nd one would be mint if the sky wasn't pink? Not sure what you were going for with the PP and the results. To me, I think with the whites in the main part of the ship being blown is a bit too distracting.
