Gorgeous Matt, the tree just seems to fill the frame. Lovely!

When we were strangers to the guided seas,
A handmade moon half holy in a cloud,
The wisemen tell me that the garden gods
Twined good and evil on an eastern tree

Thanks to Matt for a beautiful pic and to Dylan Thomas for the words

Or... Joyce Kilmer... 1886–1918

I THINK that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the sweet earth's flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

Nice pic Matt... looking forward to seeing a print soon...

or indeed Ogden Nash...

I think that I shall never see
a billboard lovely as a tree.
Perhaps, unless the billboards fall,
I'll never see a tree at all.

Not a songbird and a jewel encrusted egg? :shock:

Matt

I like this pic - moreso because of the fantastic exposure you've managed - we can see the detail in the foliage and yet still have the blue of the sky.
