What did you do? Did you photoshop out all his teeth? I guess thats why they called gummy sharks...

As for the CC I am a fan of your tight crop, but pity we dont get to see his pearly whites :-)

No photoshopping of teeth, this is straight from the camera, no crop. Just a little colour balance and sharpening.

The shark was about 4 feet away from me.... :D

Tim,

I think it is a Bull Shark, there are quite a few differing species in the tank. Not being an marine expert I didn't want to put the old head on the chopping block and name it incorrectly.

Marco,

do you think that is a dust spot? I did notice it and a few others on the body. The shark did appear to have a number of white dots or markings on it so I wasn't really sure, so I left them be and didn't bother cloning them out.

Do you reckon it could be shark acne?

Ive caught my fair share of them.. Go like a beaten mule till they realise ive caught them so they give up and come to the surface for an easy release..

Looks like possible specs on the glass.. and not related to dust spots.. still a good image

If its not.. and it is on the shark, its a possible fungus or white spot.. which is a stress related disease.. not super common in saltwater species..

Looks like a Bully to me too!
It is very difficult to get shots of sharks teeth without getting them really worked up.

Here's some teeth for ya! BTW I didn't hang around after taking this one

Nice shot Tony.

I tried similar shots when I was down there recently but just couldn't get the exposures right. They were probably okay after all but I really wanted something with zing and a murky day didn't help. Obviously flash is a no-no when you're dealing with glass walls...

You've done well.
