Backstreet...Ok, here is the same scene treated 3 different ways for Alpha. Which do you prefer and why? I still really like the old yellow colour of the paint..
Original ![]() Black and White ![]() Sepia ![]() Canon
Thanks for Humouring me.
I actually still really like the colour one, but I also like the Sepia one. I'd like to see a bit of grain/noise added to give it a more aged look, but I think it suits it well. For me the B&W is a little weak, but still not a bad shot. I'm keen to see more feedback from others about this one ![]() Thanks again.
Hey Big V
i like this and it is also a great area in Adelaide, It just gave the the biggest flashback of my trip there mid last year, i got a similar shot at the same spot with my Fuji S7000(i will find and post tomorrow) Anyway thanks for the flashback LIVE4EVA
Well, Big V and I were having a friendly joke here, but there is a little truth mixed in. Between the Canon and Nikon DSLRs there are some noticable differences in performance in certain conditions. Namely that the Canon's have less noise at higher ISO then the Nikons, the popular belief is that the Canon sacrifices some of the image's sharpness by reducing the noise evident in the final image. It depends on who you talk to and who's camp they are in as to the full in's and outs of it all, but I can comfortably say I've seen much less noise in Canon shots then the Nikon, in the same conditions and same ISO. (IMHO). Interestingly, I guess noise is a tad less subjective to the observer then sharpness but that's a different kettle of fish.

Colour by a mile for me, then sepia. I use a Nikon and never have any noise in my images (even if I put my ear really close) ![]() Peter

Stubbsy, the one bit of noise I wish I could hear with my camera is the high frame rate for the 20 or so shots you get with the d70, feel my pain at 2-3 a second but for only 4 -5 frames, then a wait as it clears the undersized buffer..oh well a 30D or 1Dmk2n will fix that..
Canon
Virgs We all lust more. I want the capture rate and higher quality viewfinder of a D2X (but can't justify the cost - a bit like buying a 1DSMkII). Peter

I like the colour one... i think the colours show the wear and tear a little better than the monochromes....

Peter you can always justify the cost. I managed to find a way

Don't make any rash decisions while you still unwell. And surely you've had time to do some PP, and share some photos Peter. Other then the shot of Killa getting his prize, you've been letting the side down ![]()
