I've been meaning to get to the zoo for a while now... I will have to round up the nephews for a trip.

Have you performed any PP on these? I wonder if they may benefit from a bit of a curves adjustment and sharpening - particularly I think the first one could do with a bit of extra contrast, and perhaps a crop.

Hey Ben .The Zoo is always a cool place to shoot a few frames .Now i'll test that flame suit of yours .

In the first one you have the subject smack bang in centre which for me doesn't work and the background is distracting .But IMO recropped with the deer off centre to the right or left this can be made into a better shot . This is kind of in reference to the rule of thirds which isn't necessarily the be all and end all but in this shot it would help .
I like the second one and (ironically after my comment on your first pic ) think it would actually benifit from being cropped and centered up .
In the last one the wall is distracting .I know they are lazy buggers but there's a lot of better angles to shoot these guys .
All three shots need a bit more contrast/curves and sharpening to .
Give them a tweek and there is plenty of scope to improve them .
