I like #2, Wendell :) The composition seems to work better for me than the other two - the eye is being shot more front-on, and is more of a central point of focus than #1 and #2. Looks like you have that flash somewhere over your left shoulder?

Wish I could attack my colleagues here in the office.. I have a brand new shiny Tokina 12-24 that I just received from the Birdy & Poon Delivery Service... but the D70s is at home! lol.

thanks LEigh bud
number two in terms of comp is good

however I like the the colour in the 3rd, green eyes being rare

Des flash at 10 'o' clock mostly and quite close to her hence my high shutterspeed of 1/250

Personally I'd go for #3.

IMO, the others would better if you applied some selective blurring to the nose & cheek a bit. The lens is so sharp that you can see the fur which I find distracting from the subject being the eye.

Those eyes in the last one.... those eyes..... uhm.... where was I???

Agree about softening the skin, but those eyes... those eyes... I think I'm lost...

Love them Wendell. Although there are billions of photo's of eye's on the net it's always nice to see someone else's take on the subject (and I don't mean to take anything away from you by saying that).

I like the high key effect and the clarity of these - stunning.

These would work well to promote eye health cos these eyes look like they belong to a very healthy person!

Wendell you are lucky to have a willing subject at work, let her know she has beautiful eyes! Lovely composition and treatment!

For me, too. Hmm, hazel, my favourite eye colour...

Cheers
Steffen.

I have just come across this thread and for me the second image is a standout. Very powerful and mysterious at the same time.
