Hello everyone

My name is Steven Laugle, and I'm new to these fourms. Ive posted here and there on some other fourms, but I think I'll settle here.

Anyways I wanted to share the picture (below) with everyone here to get come Critiques. I have been shooting with a D70s for about 2 months now, and I'm starting to get the hang of it it. (I think?)

This is one of my favorite shots that came out from a day shooting at my High School's Tennis Match. It isn't exactly of her PLAYING tennis, but I love how it turned out...Opinions?

Steven,

Welcome. Please feel free to ask about any and all aspects of photography, and pertaining to your use of the D70 and beyond.

I've edited your post to warn our users that the hosting site that you're using forces its unwelcome and intrusive popups onto visitors to it. We simply don't like such intrusive marketing methods here, and where a site does this, we prefer to have our members warned beforehand so that they can choose to deal with them or not.

The best alternative is to seek out a hosting site that does not intrude in this manner, and thus the warning is unnesccessary, but that of course is your decision.

But please be aware of, and respect, our needs in this regard.

I'm sorry!!

I have a pop up blocker so I never see pop-ups. I am terribly sorry

Good one Steven :) Nice, sharp image. Looks like that was taken using available light?

Not sure I love the framing though, seems a bit off-centre. Solid photo, but I'm not certain it's very exciting either. How did you go with action shots? :)

Thanks losfp,

A few of my action shots came out to be really good, however I have not gotten around to editing them. I will eventually and post a few here.

This one just stood out to me and seemed to be my favorite

Some popup blockers are better than others. No worries, but you do need to be aware of/sensitive to these things.

As I said, better to not use those sites, and even to let them know specifically why you're leaving.
