a couple more from Barrington Tops. These two were taken with the 50mm/1.4. With the available light, it worked really nicely. However, I'm not sure which one works best, the landscape or portrait version.

C&C more then welcome,
cheers,
André

I like both of these, but prefer the 2nd. Interestingly, I have just uploaded for C & C some VERY similar images. These two images show the beauty of the 50/1.4 Peter

Thanks Peter and Liam,
looking at them now, probably could have used a bit more DOF, to at least have that little gum nut in better focus. I'll have to remember for next time. The 50/1.4 does work well, that's at f2, so getting pretty sharp when wide open. I'll just have to go back and try it again ![]() ![]() Thanks, André Photography, as a powerful medium of expression and communications, offers an infinite variety of perception, interpretation and execution. Re: Colours of Barrington Tops
I too prefer the 2nd, but the centered gumnut puts me off a little. I'd have been tempted to (re)move it, or recompose a little to the right to balance the leaves a little. But then I prefer asymmetric photos... http://www.moz.net.nz
have bicycle, will go to Critical Mass
