If you can get down to Circular Quay, there are a few opportunities to take some nice snaps of the UNICEF bears on display

Sheila,

Like your image, mine look like Where's Wally? - every image had someone in it

Wouldn't mind going back on a sunny day away from lunch hour

Thanks for the reminder about this Sheila! Now that I'm working in the city I'll make sure to pop down after work some day. :) Nice pics, I think I prefer the added DOF of Glen's shots though.

Wow, didn't know about this, looks a like a popular photo opportunity.

I tried to improve the composition a little
Sorry for the quality - I only had a point-and-shoot on me

Nice Sheila. Great composition and no doubt where it is with the bridge OOF in the background. Well done. :D

Thanks all. I particularly wanted a very shallow depth of field so I used my 135 f/2 at f/4 concentrating my focus on the most colourful bear. I do tend to have the bridge OOF in a lot of my images as I feel that, by doing this, it does not overwhelm the image but everyone knows which bridge it is!

Here are a couple more:

Nice leading line... Can't help thinking that it might have been a little better without the people in the shot... BTW... What the hell are you doing carrying a P&S around? :-)

It was my little joke. If you look closely you'll see that my bears are arranged in a curve and everyone else's are in a straight line. And that I don't have a harbour bridge because I, err, have a foreign-looking set of traffic lights in the background. And the people are wearing parkas. That's because I took the photo in Germany in 2000, which also explains the P&S. I thought I'd give a strong clue by talking about the composition. Oh well!

  Totally missed that... for some reason I thought they were in the Botanical Gardens...

Well done Thaddeus, I look at your image and couldn't place it in context of what I saw at the quay. There was a curved section which was chock full of people but backgrounds were either Opera House, toaster, OPT or SHB.
