Hi all,
Went down to the cliffs near Maroubra beach this afternoon and was trying to capture some of the different textures. Not sure how well they work. C&C appreciated. These were taken with the 50mm/f1.8.

Hi Macka,

The first one is my pick of the three, I like the sweeping lines and the colour. The second one is alright but for me not quiet all there.
#3 doesn't work for me, a bit cold, dull and drab looking for me (sorry).

Hi Macka,

I was also doing something similar today, but in Redhead Posted one of mine in the ES March - Structure thread

I like the first two. For the second one, I would have also tried an even closer shot.

On the last one, there probably is a bit too much OOF, try cutting off some off the top. Scrolling it around and getting rid of the top seems to work better, for me anyway.

I had a look and I like yours much better
In hindsight I would have used a much smaller aperture for many of the shots I took today.
