Dock Thingy?

Not sure the exact term for what this is. A boat tie? A Dock thingy?

Impressive.. you really are making that D50 work.. i would have like to see the colours in number 2 shown in number 1 aswell.. but the tones are beautiful.. nice work!

Barrie, for me the 2nd one works better for me. Did you add the vignetting in the sky ? Just seems a little imbalanced happening up the top, but not on the bottom ?

With the first one, while the treatment is 'ok' (not crazy about it), the composition feels 'uncomfortable' for me.

I think because the 18mm was wide open at f3.5 that caused the vignetting? - I didn't add it

I should have removed it or added it at the bottom as well :)

No filters.

I used to hate vignetting, but now find it does help alot of images.

yes.. bollard :)

in the second shot, there seems to be quite a halo around the eye on the bollard.. is this from PP ? other than that distraction i like the shot and the colours.

I really like #1, I think you've made moved your frame and made terrific use of the background, this really works for me for some reason...
