Impressive.. you really are making that D50 work.. i would have like to see the colours in number 2 shown in number 1 aswell.. but the tones are beautiful.. nice work!

Barrie, for me the 2nd one works better for me. Did you add the vignetting in the sky ? Just seems a little imbalanced happening up the top, but not on the bottom ?
With the first one, while the treatment is 'ok' (not crazy about it), the composition feels 'uncomfortable' for me.
No worries, I noticed it in your rabbit skull and thought it helped the shot.
Were you using any filters ?
I might be mistaken but is this a shore bollard........
