Bees (and... some other flying insect)

Took these at my parents' place, using the macro setting on my kit 28-80mm (yeah... I'll find more money sometime).

Not a bee, but it was cool (also, useful) how it just hovered statically for a couple of seconds at a time

C&C Welcome. Incidentally, to all those who take these sort of photos: what is a typical blend of patience, equipment and environment that goes into making a really good shot?

I really like the last one. I think it says to me that the insect is on a mission and I think it is well proportioned.

That would be a hoverfly. Great shot. :)

I love the challenge of catching them while hovering. You can see some of my hoverfly pics in my gallery.

All these are very good but the last one really stands out to me, seems captured when he's sizing up the landing pad... Good shot...
