A few keepers from the Barrington Tops outing on the weekend.
Thanks to Stubbsy for the loan of the ND4... and some inventive adaption with the kit lens hood to get a 77mm filter to fit on 67mm
A set of Neutral Density filters and step down rings is right up there on purchase list now. The D70's ISO 200 can be a bit too fast for this kind of work.

Nice series of photos.
Number 1 & 5 are my favourites.
With number 1 I would like to see it without the blurry leaves/branch in the top left. It distracts my eye a little. Love the colours and flow of the water though.

Some great images there. Unfortunately some look a little dark on my monitor.

Hi Daniel,
I was looking forward to your photos
Love the first one, my fav. BTW, it is the Allyn River and if that is the falls at the end of the day, it's called Ladies Well.
#2 could also be just as good, but I find it a bit too dark for my taste, maybe bring up the exposure just a bit.
#4 with the cow, the cow comes out a bit too dark, so it's hard to see, but the title makes you look
I also like the morning mist and the last one of the wall on the dam came up very nicely.
Well done and great to have you on a Hunter trip again. Hope you didn't mind my driving (you don't have to answer that )
Cheers,
André
(note: my monitor is not calibrated, YMMV)

Daniel
Brilliant. All are good, but 1,3,5,7 and 8 are just that little bit better than 2,4 and 6. I just wish I had captured this many keepers. Oh, and #1 is the standout. Next time I'll remember to take a tripod
Edit: Just wanted to add that they all appear a touch dark to me too.

Daniel,
it was nice catching up with you on the weekend.
You photos turned out great, though I have to agree with Andre on the cow pic. It looked brighter when we were previewing it at Birddogs camp.
Overall number 1 was the standout.

Thanks everyone.
Paul - I agree. I'm considering getting some large prints of 1 and 5 done. I'll have an attempt at trying to clone out the movement in the top left. I considered this originally and put a thumb over it to have a guess... and then left it. I'll post something up tomorrow.
oneputt - I've got my setup profiled for AdobeRGB, and as all browsers can't support profiles other than sRGB, I do a profile convert in photoshop before exporting for web... and they've changed a little bit from my original PP... (I've mainly done the PP for print as the final output)
André - Thanks for the title correction. Normally I take photos of the signs so I remember the name, but for some reason I forgot to. I've got to work on Cow in Creek more, it's a bit of a Where's Wally right now.
Driving - much appreciated!
Stubbsy - I had a surprisingly good hit rate. The lighting and subject definitely favoured a tripod. I'm very pleased with how #1 turned out.
Andrew - I'm going to revisit Cow In Creek. I'm still not 100% with the colour, WB and how visible the cow is.

attempt number 2 at #1.
I've cloned out a fair bit of the branch movement in the top, leaving a bit on the side to fill the frame.

Thanks, I think I now prefer the cloned out leaves after revisiting it.
