Okay.. play nice... this isn't my usual sort of subject :)

Lots of focusing problems to catch this little bugger... i wish i had a macro lens! some are OOF but it was still fun to chase the bugger around the garden this morning. Makes me appreciate what you macro folk do... :D

This one was badly OOF but for some reason i liked the composition in b&w...

I missed this one before, nice series, the last few color ones work most for me, especially the last, great framing and a terrific background too, you've done well there I reckon...

You've done better with these little fellas than I have

Dragonfly.. did someone mention Dragonfly??

Very nice Mark. DOF is always an issue with these buggers with their long body and wide wing span something usually misses out. I find getting the eyes in focus is always important and you have done that very well.

Next time you along at a meet you are welcome to have a play with the Sigma 180 Macro. Lens lust will be immediate and dramatic

thanks for the comments guys....

Mark... that would be great to have a play with that lens.... these were taken at 70mm so i had to get quite close to the little critter which was a challenge in itself. a 180mm macro would have been ideal!
