#1 and #4 for me.
#1 - I like the top half better than the bottom half of the image. When it was loading, the whole image was different to what I was expecting
#2. The sky lacks interest, but otherwise ok. I think if you re-shot this just after dusk with a few clouds about, you'd get a nice blue glow with some detail to add punch to the image.
#3/4 I prefer the composition of #4 rather than 3, as it doesn't have the orphaned lightpost as in 3. The stronger blues in #4 also add life.

Thanks Daniel.
Yes I had hoped to get there much earlier and get the afternoon glow, but alas I got there quite a bit later. I still fired off a few.
#1 - Yeah I was struggling for a good composition of the tree; its about the best I could do (traffic being in the pic) without standing in front of the traffic - not a good idea

Hi Dion
Those images look very good to my eye, at 9 PM , without any flaring , everything clear and sharp particalar the second picture. I guess you've used the 17-40 lens.

Hey these came up well...
I like the color and tones in the first, gives a strange and eerie feel woth the bright light eminating from the tree...
Great exposure on #2, very very nice and seems really sharp too... #3's got terrific lines taking me right through all the lights... The trails from the light work well in the last one too...

great shots - love to figure out how you've managed to avoid flares so well.

Dion,
nice shots, I always seem to shoot from South to North.
Yours are obviously North to South and to me give an interesting perspective.
Might have ot change ends for a while
Cheers

Thanks guys.
Yes they were taken with the 17-40. First night long exposures I've done on the 20D and new Benro Tripod, actually (only taken me over a year to get around to it!).
TonyH - Yeah I've never shot from that location before, something different! Mainly it was driven by available parking spots.
Can't say I did anything special re: flare - just the 17-40 + hood + Hoya UV filter.
