Went down the road to La Perouse this morning and had fun snapping under the bridge with the polariser on. C&C very welcome.

Taken with Nikkor 18-70.

To me #4 and #5 are the strongest images amongst this set, while #2 is the weakest compositionally.

I'm intrigued by #2 with the use of the reflective ground blanket... BBQ Baby?

G'day,

The first is an interesting angle, if you wanna play in PP I'd clone out the bright white sign at the end of the pier, takes your eye straight to it.

Some great angles in the pier shots, good shadow detail too, especially with the high dynamic range you're working with, the polariser would help here I think.

I'm also going through a bit of a pier fetish lately, so glad to see another one of us...

As Trevor Marmelade once said, "I love kids, especially when they're golden and crunchy on the outside..."

  Well, it's a bit odd, especially as when I first encountered this family Mum and Dad were sitting a little way off and there was no umbrella to protect the child...

Thanks for the comments guys. Interesting that people like #4, I wouldn't have picked that at first, but now it's growing on me...

Some nice shots there Macka. I will go along with the general concensus. Number 2 is the pick :D

no 4 is really nice fame of the sky. Texture of the rocks is also interesting.

1 and 4 for me Macka. I'm a bit of a jetty fan as well but I'd be travelling a long way to find one as picturesque as yours. You've done very well with the polariser - they're not as easy to tame as many people think and it's easy to go overboard with them, particularly when you're looking through that miniscule viewfinder and then (Heaven Forbid!!) chimping at a small LCD screen to check your results! A few times I've got some shots home after using the polariser and wondered what drugs I'd been on..
