Well they are probably not really ears but a little poetic license never hurt anyone :lol:

Very patient he was too. Didn't move while I went and grabbed the extension tubes to get in closer. All 3 tubes used for this shot.

Those first two are corkers. And AFAIK they are kinda ears since I think they pick up air vibrations.

Great shots Mark ..... mmmmm...... Damo - do you think I could order..... LOL

They aren't actually ears guys :) .. more like a 'nose'. This is a male moth, and the feathery antennae are used to pick up pheromones of 'receptive' females that are ready to mate. The antennae have hightly developed species specific chemical receptors. Ain't nature grand !!!!

Thanks for the comments Folks. :D I was pretty happy with the first two, more about getting the lighting sorted but I think I have it sussed now :roll:
