Ronza welcome the the forum, and thanks for posting some more shots of the 500.

#2 I really like this one captures the action well

#3 Great panning, the car could be a tad sharper, but considering the speed etc It's a good effort

You also grabbed some nice candids, did you get one of the bloke in yellow looking your way ?

The final shot with the bottles, doesn't feel like it fits with the other shots IMO.

Yeah - first time panning; got a 4-5 nice ones out of about ~60ish but damm, its certainly a technique that takes a heck of a lot of practice. Shot of the marshal I think was simply waiting for the cars to come back around; dont think he looked at me.

Tried to get a few different shots from Pit Paddock, the bottles along with some wheels were a few that came out 'interestingly' but indeed, comepltely unrelated to the rest of the photos I guess.

Ronza,

Welcome aboard and nice posts to start with!!

Number 1 is at a bit to much of an angle (for my liking) and the focal point appears beyond Ingalls car, the sponsor logo is crisp though.

Number 2 is a good image, nice compression braking and flame shot. I would be tempted to crop it to remove the trees above the sponsor logo though. Don't underestimate the importance of having sponsor logos in your images if you want to have them used later for any possible promo shots. Sponsors love that shit.

Number 3 is a really good panning shot. The car is a bit soft, but the panning has blurred such a busy background, it's a good race shot!

Number 5 is a good shot, subject matter is TOPS!!!! The skin tone is really goos, the image is has a nice DOF with the background nicely OOF. Having the bodies tilted away from the camera helps to make them look slimmer (like they need that). :D

Number 6 is also a good shot, pity the background is a fence, but you work with what you have. She obviously knows how to pose, lifting her arms away from her sides helps to make her look slimmer, as does the angled pose.

The last two are also nice, despite not being exciting subject matters. Nice lighting on the last one and DOF.

Well done!

Might look through some other pics from the day shot in sequence as that one is lacking direct eye contact. She is a babe though!

Raskill, fantastic feedback and much appreciated. Might have to hone down my focusing alot more (sorta why I wish I had the chance to go Saturday as everything looks in focus on the camera). Always a struggle with advertising behind the action.
