I have finally got myself ready to post some pictures!
These were taken about a year ago with a Canon A80 (the only camera I had at the time).
The first two are beach shots, but I really like the grass colours and textures in the last one.

What do you think?

Hi Suzanne,

Welcome :D - I like the light you have captured in #3. Foreground in the first one looks a little over exposed to me?

Welcome to my Mum :D

The last one is my pick of these three. As you said, there are interesting textures in the plants in the foreground, and I like the way the slope of the hill leads your eye down to the solitary figure on the beach, providing a sense of scale.

Horizon could use a straightening in the second :!:

Look forward to seeing some more images from your new and improved Canon.

Welcome suzanneg. If you really are Mackas mother you did a really good job  :D

The images almost look like scanned film rather than digital, and of the three the last appeals the most, mainly for the colours and textures.

Greetings and Welcome Suzanne,

of the three photos posted I like the first one the best.

I actually prefer the second of these; the colours look to me to be typical of what one would see on a cloudy day, and these are not what one often sees in photos.

Great stuff, Suzanne, and welcome.

G'day,

Welcome to the forum :)

I like the way you're including some foreground items in your composition using the grass stalks, shows creativity...

The last one has some really nice colors and tones, with lots of interesting texture in the rocks and stuff...

I never even noticed the lone figure on the beach, good pickup Macka!

I'm with Gary here, Suzanne - the second one really intrigues me. The detail in the foreground keeps the eye busy and, as Gary mentioned, the colours are very authentic. Nice work.

Welcome to the forum - it's great to have another member from your very talented family. Macka's really hit the ground running with her work here so I'm sure we're going to see great things from both of you in the future. :D
