Enjoy.

Very nice Lukster. Seems you done well with the tricky lighting situation. Any noise that may have crept in seems lost in the background anyway. The full grandstands just look like a big collection of digital noise regardless of what ISO you shoot at!

Nice shots, they seem to capture the moment well. (I didn't watch the closing ceremony) But it looks like what I'd imagine it would look like.

In my watching of the games, I saw plenty of crowd members with DSLR cameras, particularly when the track and field were doing their victory laps.

Like most of the events these days, they limited your focal length to 200mm. I went to the hockey last Wednesday with my 300, and the security guy called his supervisor, who thankfully had no idea about camera's (I had my 12/24 on the camera and my 70-300 off.) and so I was let in. I only used it 2-3 times for a couple of quick pics as I didnt want to get tossed out.
Decided that for the closing there was no use trying to get close to the action anyway, as we had seats right up the back.

Wow, I reckon they look clearer than the tv coverage!
